Meet the Chapter Officers (7:30 AM to 9:00 AM)

Active members of any volunteer organization is what keeps the organization going and beneficial for its members. Maybe you have thought of volunteering with the chapter but weren’t quite sure what was involved or how to get started. Well, now is your opportunity to get your questions answered! The Dulles Corridor chapter officers will be available to chat with you about current volunteer opportunities and maybe even becoming a future chapter officer! Also, if you have ideas for future chapter events, this is your chance to let the chapter officers know what interests you and will benefit your professional development.

LinkedIn, your employer’s website, even an internal company directory are all examples of where your picture provides the first impression someone has of you. For only $15, you will have your picture taken with a professional background that you can use on LinkedIn or anywhere else you need a professional photograph. You will receive your photo via email so you can use it wherever and whenever you want.

Government Contract Law: Best Practices for the Contracting Profession (9:00 AM to 10:00 AM)

This seminar focuses on Government contract law, research skills, and best practices for the contracting profession. It covers the differences between Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REA) and claims, the Contract Disputes Act, specific research resources, and the legal framework of Government contracting. The closing topic is professionalism, and what it means to be a true contracting professional.
