Program Description

Per FAR 52.244-5, Competition in Subcontracting, the Contractor shall select subcontractors (including suppliers) on a competitive basis to the maximum practical extent consistent with the objectives and requirements of the contract.

Exactly what does “to the maximum practical extent” mean? Is it possible to get an “A” for effort? This seminar will review FAR 52.244-5 and how to incorporate it within your organization’s procurement strategy to ensure compliance.

In this seminar, attendees will learn about:

  • Level of competition required by the FAR
  • Relationship between competition for subcontracts and small business subcontracting plans
