Chris Hamm, Director for GSA FEDSIM, will speak with the Chapter about his organization and how it assists DoD and civilian agencies with their IT and professional services acquisitions.
Program Description
GSA FEDSIM awards and manages major programs across the Department of Defense and most Civilian agencies. FEDSIM is an assisted acquisition organization, operating in a fee for service environment. Chris Hamm, the FEDSIM director, will discuss the distinct and innovative practices that are used to streamline acquisition and align client and contractor interests.

The Presenter
Chris Hamm, GSA FEDSIM
Chris Hamm is the Director for GSA FEDSIM, an assisted acquisition and project management organization. Chris’s organization manages over $10 billion in information technology and professional service contracts. Chris has 19 years of experience in managing complex acquisitions and project delivery. Chris serves as GSA’s Acquisition Innovation Advocate, where he leads innovation efforts such as Express and ATLAS, as well as supporting GSA’s regulatory reform initiative. Chris was recognized as one of the “FED100” by Federal Computer Week. Chris is on the Executive Committee of the American Council for Technology (ACT-IAC) and on the government advisory council of AFCEA.
Chris hails from Pennsylvania. He attended Elon University and has a Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was selected to the Presidential Management Internship Program in 1999. Chris is married to Julia Hamm, the CEO of the Smart Electric Power Alliance. Chris & Julia have two children – Nathan and Alexa.
