In his engaging and highly rated presentations, he shares insider secrets drawn from 15 years of DOD contract and accounting experience. His proactive, decisive approach to finding opportunities and solving problems is based on experience in managing more than $30 million in federal contracts. He has experience with a wide variety of speaking engagements including emcee/moderator, seminars, training, chapter meetings, and conference presentations. He engages audiences with innovative approaches to contract profitability, accounting, compliance, and related topics. The West Virginia native earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in accountancy from The Graduate School of the College of Charleston in South Carolina. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Ohio.
Matthew Schoonover, JD

Matthew is the managing partner of Koprince Law LLC, a boutique law firm that counsels small business clients about the unique legal issues they experience working with the federal government. In addition to advising clients about regulatory and socio-economic compliance issues, Matt prepares effective and compliant teaming agreements, subcontracts, mentor/protégé agreements, joint venture agreements, and other key documents. A significant portion of Matt’s practice, moreover, involves representing contractors in bid protests, size and socio-economic category protests and appeals, and in contract performance disputes with the government.
Matt has presented on government contracting legal issues to a variety of audiences, including at several small business and veterans’ contracting seminars. He has also been quoted in articles appearing in Bloomberg.com, Law360.com, Westlaw Journal, and Contract Management magazine.
