Program Description
The session will start with an overview of Contractor Purchasing System Reviews, with particular attention to threshold considerations, new changes for including Counterfeit Prevention and Detection rules, and a discussion of the focus on Commercial Items. The property portion will briefly overview DCMA’s role in contract property management oversight. More detailed emphasis will be given to Low Risk property initiatives, FIAR considerations, and property loss determinations.
In this seminar, attendees will learn about:
- Common deficiencies found in CPSRs
- Changes to the CPSR review elements for Counterfeit Prevention and Detection
- Changes to the CPSR review elements for Commercial Items
- DCMA’s role in contract property management oversight
- Low Risk property initiatives
- FIAR influence on property accountability
- Property Loss determinations
About The Speaker
Mr. Andrew Obermeyer became the Director of DCMA’s Business Operations Center on August 12, 2013. The Center provides consolidated operational support to the DCMA Contract Management Offices and the military services and agencies for the business functions involving Contractor Purchasing System Reviews, Plant Clearance, Terminations, and Property Administration. The 390-plus Center personnel are organized into four Groups located in multiple sites across the CONUS and worldwide to provide efficient operational support to the DCMA Regions, the Services and other customers.

This month the Dulles Corridor Chapter is holding a 50/50 raffle in support of FACETS, an organization helping parents, their children and individuals in Fairfax County who suffer the effects of poverty so often unnoticed. You can purchase your tickets the morning of the seminar for $2 each or $5 for three tickets. We will draw the winner during the seminar (must be present to win).
Since 1988, FACETS has remained committed to ensuring individuals and families living in poverty in our community are given a voice and the support they need in securing a brighter future. Each year, FACETS supports over 2,000 individuals by taking steps to leave the effects of poverty and homelessness behind for good. FACETS offers people emergency shelter, food, medical needs, helping them gain safe, sustainable and permanent housing and working with them to end the cycle of poverty through educational, life skills and career counseling programs.
