Program Description
One of the biggest challenges in contracting is describing the work to be performed. Success in achieving your subcontracting objectives begins with having a subcontract Statement of Work (SOW) that accurately describes what is to be accomplished, supports the receipt of accurate and competitive bids, and provides you with the ability to motivate or even terminate your subcontractor, if needed. This session begins by covering the different types SOWs and where each may be used appropriately. We then step through key SOW elements and best practices to achieve your desired outcomes with managed risks and control over your costs. Prepared scenarios will be used for group analysis and discussion to illustrate and reinforce key concepts.
This workshop is brought to you by George Mason University Executive and Professional Education and the Public Contracting Institute.
